Yes, this did happen to me. After I left a particular company, on good terms, afterwards I went to the contractor website, in this case Quintiles to update my resume. I reviewed my resume only to find someone had hacked in and altered my resume, making ridiculous comments as to where I got my education and more, clearly in an attempt to prevent anyone from hiring me. I was horrified. What kind of person does this? What kind of people do you have working for you at Quintiles? Was it my manager that did this? Looking back, I can't believe, given my all positive interactions with her, that she would do this and am at a loss as to who else would do this and worst of all, how the hell they got away with it.
Any explanations Quintiles or do you just let the hiring managers go in and have access to the edit option on a persons resume or their manager and if so, what the hell are you thinking? You are lucky I didn't sue you and I'm not entirely sure I won't yet.
