Who said it had to be a great deal? Vertex could have been honest and less greedy so we had time to prepare. Of coarse I listened to my docs but when your boss tells you it's fine then HR presents a bridge to 2015 plan including us...that's bs. There's only so many jobs available in my area

Good lesson. Companies care about the bottom line, not about the individual employee. Anyone who thought otherwise gained a valuable life lesson. You are only of value to a company when you can bring value. We tried to license out the sales force to companies with GI-based drugs to bridge over to our next generation of HCV agents. When the data came in showing the Alios drug wasn't going to be competitive it became clear that HCV wasn't in our future. Therefore, no need to keep HCV people around.
