Voluntary Packages

Please quit or retire. There will be no packages. Clocks ticking and we can’t pay you to stay home anymore. Announcement coming mid August.

I will bite. What “announcement is coming mid August”?

Oh and btw if there are any layoffs involving Legacy Allergan reps, any at all within two years of the acquisition date they get a full 52 weeks paid change of control severance. It’s in the legal FAQ’s and they announced it during the acquisition in May. So basically yes, for those Allergan reps there would technically be a “package” if there’s layoffs.

But enlighten us about mid August. I’m on the edge of my seat

Allergan will stay until contract is up; they'll weed out Abbie then work on you guys next year or find a way to fire you.

Two years is a pretty good cushion regardless. 52 weeks full paid severance doesn’t suck either; and it’s not next year, it’s the year after. It’s 2022 not 2021. If you think your division will lay-off or tank you can apply to other division openings. You’re also delusional if you think they will lay-off Allergan reps in a broad stroke since the Allergan sales numbers are wildly higher than say, the flop of Orilissa; and likely Oriahnn.

Enlighten you? The only seat you’re on the edge of is the toilet seat.
You’ll get 12 weeks Max. Biggest RIF in Pharma history coming!
Cary Renner is working with Abbvie Human Resources on the list of who will be let go.

Negative ghost writer; 52 weeks full paid severance bc any lay-off within the first two years is considered change of control for legacy Allergan. Do your homework.

Total BS. ABBVIE severance packages are not great. But the minimum is 12 weeks then add in years of service. Abbvie gives 1 week per year vs the others at 2 weeks per year. Abbott was known for hiring and laying off cycle so I wouldn't be surprised if something is in the works. A lot of Abbott in top leadership now.

bull crap!
I got 50 weeks two years ago with the metabolic reorganization. I purposely waited out the lay off, did not interview for Women's Health ( didn’t wanna work with the sycophants I previously teamed with in met). I got 50 weeks and retired officially in 2019 on nearly the same date as I was intending.
An attorney friend reviewed my continuation package and said it was one of the most gerous he ever saw.
When they added my age and tenure Together it came to 50 weeks.
