Actually I feel sorry for the poor SOB. This div is getting eaten alive by a 500LB Gorilla called COVIDIEN. I had to leave my territory because of this Gorilla taking all my business away, then what business I had left we couldn't ship product because of the constant QA issues with all PC products. On top of that they crammed a new product (ecom) down our throats that wasn't and still isnt even ready for the market. They had some joker named Guy Lowery runing that show and he and his whole crew have been eliminated. The real TOOL here is the one running this div John Stotts. Don't get me wrong the company I'm with now has its issues but nothing like it was with Conmed.
 












I went to a new company recently from PC because Stotts is an idiot. First he raised prices on all of our products telling us that price of oil had risen and the cost to make the products went up. What kind of lame brain tries to raise prices in a market like this? I lost a lot of business when he did that. Then he moved shipping to Atlanta and everything went on backorder. I lost more business. Then he changed the gel on my most popular electrode and he caused me to lose a lot more business. He had poor Frank K lie to us and tell us Conmed was closing the factory where electrodes were made and they couldn't move some machine which made the old gel, yea sure. Then we get a new contract with Premier and I go out and get a bunch of new Ped Electrode business and Stotts changes the wire on the electrodes to cut costs and it doesn't work. then he changes the snap on the electrode to cut costs and it dosn't work. So I lose all my new Premier accounts! Stotts must have had 10 recalls while I was there. I lost a lot of accounts because he insisted on these recalls. Then he tried to launch ECOM I must admit I was excited at first because customers thought it was a great idea. but again it didn't work well enough to use it on a daily basis, it was too hard to set up and it was not accurate at first. Another product quality failure by Stotts Finally, Stotts moved all the IV Controllers to Mexico and they couldn't make any for 6 months. I lost all of my IV Controller business. Did anyone tell the moron to build up some inventory before he moved the product out of the USA. Stotts couldn't make a quality product to save his life! Instead of trying to come out with some new product he should have concentrated on building a quality electrode and tubing product, having it in supply, and let us sell it at the lowest possible price. I kept telling my manager that Covidian was killing me with their total package of many products deal, and that Stotts needed to either provide me with a exciting program to stop Covidian or give me the lowest price possible and he didn't do either one. What a loser!

I have only been here a year and have been thru only some of this. I'm was in college just over a year ago so I'm not very experienced. However, I hope we don't stop trying to come out with new products for PC. I just got my first ECOM account and customers like it. Jeff M tells me more improvements are coming which will make ECOM even better. AT least with ECOM I have something to talk about other than what is my price. Long term I don't know what my income growth potential will be if all I have is electrodes, defib, and tubing to sell vs. Covidian.

i was with PC and got a great job with a good company, but didn't take away much from PC exccept it got me into medical sales. I do remember this much, Rick H constantly used the term "500 pound gorilla" to describe Covidian on our weekly conf. calls. We woulld all laugh about it among ourselves. So at least you left PC with that phrase stuck in you brain for the rest of your life. I hope you don't become my boss some day and I have to hear that term 10000 times, I thought I had escaped!
