hah that's funny. Imagine someone coming in to do due diligence? They'd see 1950's Dresden (and be asked a 2013 Berlin price). Right. Not to mention, Valeant would never give up Eye Care; salt water is the cash cow that will let their house of cards stand for a whole lot longer than it otherwise would have.
 






Surgical will go first. VC is profitable enough in the short term to maintain with the exception of East Europe. Besides total VC and surgical for that matter are going to be hard to sell, most buyers look for potential, that equals pipeline, B+L just downgraded those functions. Cupboard will soon be bare. More likely to farm the businesses off to distributors and simplify the model.

There's been talk of spinning off Surgical for over a decade. Something always fizzles out though before it happens.
