Virtual FFM’s

Who are these clowns (Doug and Meredith) who are trying to put so many constraints in place that Virtual FFM’s go the way of MMF’s? They are just putting themselves into the mix to make sure the role of the representative becomes untenable as far as lunches and programs.
How long did Doug and Meredith spend in the field? Are Pfizer, GSK and Novartis doing the same? Is this something that will be adopted by the Pharma code? It seems Merck is being micromanaged by people who have limited experience and zero interest in how challenging it is becoming to access HCP’s post Covid.

This post is obviously from some moron in oncology who has no clue. Merck does not make decisions based on what is best for the field.

PhRMA knows these virtual lunch engagements aren’t selling anything… they want the reps back in the clinics to get more for their money

Manager here:
Let’s remember back to March 2020, everything shut down. Merck didn’t allow Virtual FFM’S, Field sales
Asked David Schecter to see if we could do them like most big Pharma. Compliance agreed but stated over-site and analysis. Compliance report after over 1 year states: As we all know, its just a big food dump!!! If you get a spare minute send David an e-mail thanking him for his hard work. Now get out of your pajamas, take a shower, get dressed and go see some Doctors in person. Like you were hired to do!!
Thank You David!!!

Of course you’re a manager! So out of touch and no understanding on how hard it is to access physicians at the moment (and I don’t mean the cherry picked ten to twenty you see on each and every field visit). You should probably do a bit more analysis on what you consider is a food dump; we’re only trying to get into see the most important docs with a virtual ffm. I had to laugh at all of the constraints compliance has put in place ( they ought to be called the Hinderance department…). They probably have zero idea why no one is even contemplating doing dinner programs anymore. I don’t get paid enough to tell a physician he can’t buy a cocktail using his own credit card!
