Virology

YOU Were Never The Most Qualified. You Were Just The MOST Protected!

It is imperative to recognize that the current state of this division is directly attributable to Cynthia Edlow’s leadership. Despite her race, she lacked the necessary qualifications to effectively manage this division. Until Edlow’s leadership, this division had consistently embraced diversity, regardless of race, gender, or age.

Virology DEI Update
Conrad promoted and protected Cynthia email was full of diversity
where are Oct, Vio and Chi hiding

Conrod just gave Cynthia a new job instead of firing her? She was moved to the "developmental assignment" because she failed miserably as a sales leader, and the consequence for her is a new role? Time to pack it up people, this division is officially a terrible place to work with horrible leaders at the helm.

Conrod is a perfect example of playing the card right. He talks total horseshit and networks through the roof with his bros trying to make them believe he is the new Ken Frazier.
Worked with him for many years and he is a total liar. His personal ethics have not been well known but let me assure you, this is no man of family values

As for his business acumen, totally questionable. He made a diabetes video once but outside this, no achievement comes to mind other than the most prolific LinkedIn poster

Don’t be fooled. CYNTHIA is useless but the uselessness goes very high up. Virology, especially HIV portfolio is going nowhere at all. At least they put him in a harmless area of the business

I simply cannot fathom how these talentless but vocal people (regardless of color) get anywhere in this company

He likes the ladies, he likes himself, and he likes Cynthia. How are we supposed to have confidence in the strategy for our launch products when he is making bad hiring decisions?

I acknowledge your perspective and agree, we need to hire the most qualified!

Edlow demonstrated a profound lack of understanding of sales principles. A sales leader should maintain a comprehensive understanding of her sales representatives, top customers, and the challenges within the sales force. She knew none of these. She also neglected to attend crucial meetings and, regrettably, hired individuals solely to protect her own incompetence.

Her focus on Community liaisons disregarded the primary objective of the division: profitability. While CLs may provide a perceived “value add,” they do not contribute significantly to the company’s bottom line. Moreover, they incur substantial costs with minimal or no return on investment, particularly considering the extensive resources allocated to them.

As we approach a launch, I sincerely hope that this division can regain its footing. However, we are witnessing a concerning trend of talented managers and sales representatives being terminated and seeking employment in more favorable working environments.

We need to hire the most qualified not the most protected, I agree. Cynthia Edlow was hired to be a sales director, she was not qualified, she created this chaos to hide her incompetence.

Cynthia Edlow needs to be fired in order to move forward.
Cynthia hasn't been in that position since last Fall. Any decisions made after that would have come from Renee.

The destroyed culture in virology has nothing to do with decisions made since last fall and everything to do with the toxic environment that Cynthia created. She knows nothing about our business or customers yet Conrad still promoted her.
