Virginia Doctor indicted for fraud along with Ofx reps

Article does not state that the rep(s) were indicted or arrested, but I am sure this is forthcoming as they seem to have been directly involved in changing and creating notes. Wow. This is a bad one.

Who is the rep? Notice it stated representatives- was the manager involved?

This is soooo bad! The rep will surely be fired and that is just the beginning of their problems and the least to worry about because the Feds are going to hit this person hard.

This crook of a Podiatrist will be lucky to not go to jail. She will lose her Medicare billing privileges and maybe other insurance carriers. She will get a hefty fine. She will be out of business and forced into retirement. Maybe her retirement home will begin with a cinder block room with no windows for a period of time. Sooo sad that folks will not learn.

You have to wonder why the Dr would stick her neck out and risk everything for O-fx like that though- doesn't sound like buy and bill if her rep wzs involved with notes, etc ( unless the reps were guiding the office through this) so what was in it for her? Is she a speaker for us? That would def make things worse and wouldn't surprise me one bit the way things are going.

There are DPMs out there using our Xfix on wound care. I refuse to do it because I know that it is BS and eventually be discovered by the Feds. I have no desire to be in the slammer!

Nothing shocks me with this company. Here we have a rep who has admitted to forging and altering notes for CMas patients and they are still employed here. Way to follow that compliance program o-Fx. The rest of that state is going down as well, I can guarantee that.

Is the rep spine or ortho and what are their initials?

Wow, just Wow! Why would an MD faulsify notes for a rep? And why do we still have reps putting Drs at risk by concocting letters of medical necessity on stolen letterhead?

Could you please enlighten me as to how one could 'steal' letterhead?

Are you actually saying this podiatrist wasn't lining her pockets and engaged in the dealings?

Orthofix reps are in this stew because of greedy docs as much as anything....
