Ventiv is where the jobs are

I've read all of the negative posts on the Ventiv site and at first it seems scary. But then when I think about it most of them seem to be coming from people that don't work for you guys. I've recently been laid off and had interviews with 2 pharma companies and Ventiv. The pay is within a few grand but it just seems like Ventiv is where the jobs are. Contract is a little scary because it could end but I just got laid off from pharma and they don't give a damn about me. At least if a contract ends, Ventiv will try to put me on another contract. My ex pharma company just screwed everybody and could care less.

You would make a perfect contract rep! Sign up right away! Ventiv could give a shit about you. They will NOT try to get you on another contract. Ask any of us. You are on your own when the contract ends. Oh and by the way, the contract often ends before it is "supposed" to. You are interviewing with 2 pharma companies and ventiv and you cant decide which is better? You are a fuck cluster! You definitely should take contract. You will be a perfect fit.

Yes, it's where the jobs are... for now. I was in the same situation as you. Pay is a bit less but it's the same work; and, yes, they'll TRY to get you on with another contract, or the opportunity to merge with the company with whom you're employed now. It's better than nothing, I can tell you that, especially when you have mouths to feed. I look at it as (mostly) a solid two years of employment versus no employment.

idiot. glad you ar not mt father. loser

I am very happy with Inventiv. The benefits arent as good as big pharma but there is far less travel for countless POA's and nat'l meetings. Everyone I work with and for is very experienced and mature. It isnt perfect but nothing is.

The people who post these vile, nasty comments about Ventiv and CSO's have either been fired by a contract company or are have had their asses handed to them in an annual review because their Ventiv counterparts sold circles around them.

Really, if you are a top-notch, balls-to-the-wall, perenial circle of excellence winner, you aren't wasting time posting this shit on Cafepharma...

Ventiv may have jobs, but please look around, how many reps in your district have been with the company more than 2-3 years? This is a Temporary Position! Ventiv has cast off 20 reps to every 1 they "roll over" to the next contract. Make the best of it but don't plan more than 6 months into the future while working here.

YOU ARE DELUSIONAL! If you felt that way about your previous employer, you will come to understand inVentiv Health is much worse.

How can that possibly be delusional?? Half the people with Ventiv have been with them a long time and have worked on multiple contracts. When was the last time GSK or Pfizer ever hired back people they laid off? Maybe Ventiv can't hire everyone back when a contract ends but the odds are a hell of a lot better than they are with one of the pharma companies. Once you have been laid off by a major company, you are NEVER eligible to be rehired by them.

Who the hell would even want a contract in the first place? I took one a year ago and it was the worst mistake i ever made. idiot

Problem is the money. Cannot make my bills on it in the city where I live. Nice to be free of the meetings and program pressures, but many people must take on a night or weekend job and still unable to make those bills. I see as temporary until the real job comes along.

What are some new contracts coming? Is Merck going to have a contract with Ventiv?
