Vaccine reorg







That’s nothing new. That’s happening. They are announcing realignment of areas in October. The FLL are managing out Public account managers to make territories larger of those that remain.

Public Account Managers are pretty much a worthless position. Most PAM's have no access to their most important accounts. Our PAM continually invades our space acting like he is contributing to something when in fact he's taking time away from us.
It makes business since to decrease the number of them and move the displaced PAM's into full line territories if an opening is available.

100% agree! While I don’t make decisions I do work on field size and structure from a data standpoint. The PAMs will be gone…low access, low call volume, low ROI

We always thought the VBU public account managers were in a role that produced very little return on investment.
They are mostly good people in a crummy position.
AS the company strives for cost savings we need to look at each role and determine a value to GSK.
With that said most think that a reduction of 50-75% in the PAM role is warranted.
 












Should be interesting to see placement of reps and how it will impact people leaving. No packages given, full line rep territories are zip aligned and it’s a take it or leave it approach. Here’s your territory, if you don’t like it you can move along. Should be interesting but hopefully this is the last shuffle for a while!
 






I’m guessing some of these alignments are not very friendly based on the quietness of leadership today after the calls they had rolling it out, or… is it still unknown at the director level?

it’s quiet on purpose. It’s certainly known and some aren’t going to be happy. But then again, not sure how you could make 600 people all happy at the same time!
 






Any more discussion on expanding inside vaccine sales roles? I’d much rather do my calls virtual than having to go in and out of breeding grounds for Covid in the offices

I’m sure inside sales would welcome you, especially with experience in the field. The problem is, you’ll have to accept being paid a fraction of the field salary
