Vacation Provided by Quintiles of Contract

Unless otherwise stated, you work for Quintiles and you take their holidays. So if company X takes off the week of christmas, you have to work unless it is stated in your contract.

Always ask your manager or refer to the company policy booklet.

Here is an example;

Comment #3 is correct. All contracts are different.

Usually .85 per day of vacation per month. 3 months of employment = 2 vacation days. Anything less than 1.0 of a day does not = a 1/2 day to take off. No personal days. Again, I do not have any current knowledge of the way they currently aknowledge each contract. This is just an example.

Do not take anymore than 4 days a year for sick days.

This is not unusual as compared to other companies.

2 weeks vacation per year (10 days) plus 2 floating holidays. 8 regular holidays (if holiday falls on Saturday you get Friday off, if holiday falls on Sunday you get Monday off. These include day after Thanksgiving and usually day after Christmas. You can take sick days but be careful not more than 4 per year.

I was previously on the 8822 contract. If I am hired for another contract will my previous employment with Quintiles count towards vacation or will I begin again at 2 weeks a year?
