Vacation and other time off policy?

What is the total time off policy for a new hire? Is that negotiable? Legitimate question from those tenured reps thinking of coming over...

There is an answer to this question, but before we get to that, would you mind answering one first?

--Does your decision to work here really hinge on vacation days?

Asked another way: If you find out that everything about the job and company is a perfect match for what you're looking for, but the company will only give you 18 instead of 20 vacation days, would this be a deal breaker for you?

No, probably not a deal breaker but curious nonetheless.

You are an idiot. Why wouldn't you try to negotiate for even more? No one is saying they would walk away, but why not try and get more. More money too. The person with the most toys wins. Don't be the lame ass that didn't try. A good salesperson knows how to negotiate, a bad one runs to his manager to help.

"The person with the most toys wins"

You have adopted the wrong philosophy for life, and you are not a match for Alkermes. Move along.

15 days prorated per year, 2 personal days and 3 floating holidays. Shut down week between Xmas and new years. 9 Paid holidays and 5 sick days. You can carry over 5 vacation days to the next year if you didn't use them all the previous year.

That's from the company website. Do your homework before you ask stupid questions. I hope they hire me over you. I know how to research a company a find the answers on their website. Moron.

Where on the website did you see this? I don't see it anywhere.

If no one in pharma sells anything, then why do they pay us so damn much? Think about it a second before you reply.

Salary bubble grew when Pfizer was making a billion dollars a month from lipator.
Compensation is 90% salary ( no commision, yes because in isn't sales).
Bonus is paid to try and create pressure.
Reps are still around to justify the over paid management positions.
It's a great gig, but the ACA is drying it up. Medicaid doesn't pay retail.

So what is the verdict? How many weeks? I have many weeks already not sure if Otsuk can match. Is this negotiable? Is it better to negotiate signing bonus? I can't wait to get a company phone. Big sister (no car but chip in phone).
