it's a clear as day - the tactic is to delay layoffs as long as possible so that people opt to leave on their own... toxic doesn't begin to describe the environment here. of course people are looking elsewhere. it's downright depressing. never in my 15 years with the company have I seen anything like this. leadership changing their minds, saying one thing, then another, town halls canceled, all hands canceled, terrible and fake communications, or no communication at all, and lucky if people even show up in the office now. the working from home policy is being well used, and who can blame us, claps all around for implementing that policy everyone. hearing of people in therapy over what they are living with on a daily basis. the rumor mill, the politics, the atmosphere, it's all a disaster. whole groups without work to do as they wait for news coming on a timeline that hasn't been shared. morale doesn't even exist anymore. sad state of affairs my friends, and all of this could have been handled so much better by the powers that be.
