I doubt you can find another industry in the world, where sales people totally despise and disrespect their leaders than you will find in pharma. Also, you would be hard pressed to find another industry where the sales people are doing all they can to LEAVE the company and industry they work in. At this point, nobody gives a rats ass if AZ succeeds or fails, because it won't matter to AZ's sales force because w all know what our fate is. AZ has embraced CSO's, consultants and has made it clear that we have no real future here. Everything we do does nothing to help sales and nobody will admit it! We are nothing but a joke.

It IS us vs them and will always be. What a screwed up company and industry!

All very true, but it's been this way soon after the merger. By the way, it won't be getting any better anytime soon.

OP is right. I bet it would be impossible to find another industry where there is so much distrust of management and leadership than big pharma. I can't think of a single person I know at AZ that thinks management has done even a mediocre job in dealing with the sales force. From the sales data, to programs like the PRIME TIME SYMBICORT videos, nobody has any faith left in anything they come out with. We tell them over and over again that docs don't care for this stuff, yet the insist that they love it, because the consultants say so! It will never change until the current group is thrown out and that's not likely to happen.
