URGENT: Update on Downsizing Process

Beginning yesterday morning, all General Medicines Managing Directors had 1:1 calls with their current General Manager. They were alerted on Tuesday afternoon with no previous communication. Once they received the calls, they were informed of their status in the new organization. If you are still naive enough to believe that a bloodbath is not coming, there is nothing else that anyone can do for you! Of the 28 Managing Directors who received calls yesterday, only 10 will remain in Managing Director roles. Most all of the remainder will not have any future role with Novartis. The few exceptions are those who may land positions in EH.

There is a strong possibility that FLM's will receive their calls on Friday, but I can't get confirmation. As I stated in my earlier post, "information will trickle out" and that's exactly what's happening. If FLM's get their calls this week, Rep's should expect their calls during the first part of next week.

Good luck & God Bless!

What the hell. All this info that calls are happening and that its going down, yet we have not got a call or e-mail. Is it happening or not? Making me crazy. What ever happens, happens. I just want to know.

Its rolling from the top down. I still say reps and flms will know by the end of the month first part of feb. it's will come out after earning are reported. People will be trained in Denver and if they still have jobs they are already trained and ready to go then there is no "down time" between home study and training. Unlike last year when many spent the entire month of December in training. Think about it. We ALL know it's happening. Don't wait around for a severance, if you have another offer run with it, it may not come again. Unless you can afford to live without a paycheck. If you do retain your job do you really want to be here? Novartis is the laughing stock of the industry right now. EVERY division is a mess, lawsuits, product recalls, nothing in the pipeline, problems with manufacturing! Novartis has NOT seen the end of lawsuits, someone somewhere will take on Tekturna or our marketing practices. It's going to take awhile for Novartis to come out of this, especially with nothing in the pipeline. It's a mess. So move on before they announce if you have an opportunity. It's not worth the 20 weeks, trust me...the severance is not worth the unemployment. Mir you have a family to support, bills to pay don't gamble, don't wait, if you have the opportunity take it.

People open your eyes and ears, this is happening!! Bloodbath for MD's yesterday.

Wasn't it expected. You say its a bloodbath. Sure lots are losing their job but we were not blindsided
We knew first off their would be layoffs even without the Tekturna fiasco. These are just going deeper now so it really shouldn't take any body by surprise if you see what products we have left and what will be gone by this time next year
