Upping quotas under guise of a contest

The ms franchise is so far removed from the Genentech culture. It’s very upsetting. This just allows them to increase your quotas and put more unnecessary pressure on everyone. BIG PHARMA ANYONE?
 






I completely agree. This isn’t no contest. It’s one big giant pressure cooker. There is no fairness here. The very top volume territories like the one that contains Dr. Hauser reels all the benefits and money. It’s a screwed up system and they put those people’s names in lights and they aren’t even the ones working hard.
 






Ocrevus is the only growth driver of the Co. so get used to the high quotas and high pressure. The DMs will have pressure to meet the #s and thats means all crap rolls down hill to the reps. Genentech has nothing going on but Ocrevus. Hemlibra is tiny, Biosims are reeking havoc, Tecentriq is 3-4 in market standing, Lucentis will be bio sim soon too erasing 1.2 billion. Xolair is a shared revenue drug and facing 2 new better drugs in the market place this year which means declining revenue again. The street knows this and look at the stock? it will be under $200 soon. Just another big pharma with declining revenues from competition, generics, and nothing exciting in the pipeline.

This isn’t so true. The culture in the MS franchise sucks.
 






And yet goal setting will be done in a mystical way that is presented as what is good for everyone. Lucentis sets their goals with a flat growth expectation for all territories regardless of the business status in each. Some will never have a chance to make goal with factors that are out of the CS's control impacting any chance at growth. This leads to in-accurate ranking, extra pressure on those at the bottom and loss of good talent who get tired of the pressure. This my comrades is the Genentech way...........
 












This whole baseball MS contest is just terrible. The OP really did describe it well. They keep turning up the heat while trying to make it look like it is a contest, no one come ted on the call because no one has nothing to say. Even the brown-nosers couldn’t say anything. This division is a real pressure cooker and all they ever do on these conference call is thank one another what a terrific job they are doing and how they “fought for us.” The bottom line is that the bonus was just so so last year given it was a launch year and now the target bonus isn’t anything more than what you would get from the average pharmaceutical company out there. Nice bait and switch mentality.

Emphasis on loss of good talent and the new Genentech way. Such a shame. Party's over and time to find a new gig.
 












Stop wining please. Many of the reps were just hired because they knew someone. Just look at the pathetic northeast team. Very few had MS experience and you can tell who did based on rankings! The others were just friends of the hiring manager. So suck it up and start selling people. It’s a competitive market. I’m kicking butt because I know the market, the customers and what I’m doing. You’ve enjoyed your free ride for two years.
