$UNH reported a jump in 4Q16 earnings driven by higher revenue as well as broad-based, balanced growth across the enterprise. Net income rose to $1.9Bil or $1.96 per share from $1.22Bil or $1.26 per share last year. Revenue grew to $47.52Bil from $43.6Bil. Adjusted EPS increased to $2.11 from $1.40.
