Why weren't the Givlaari and Oxlumo reps given a shot at applying for the Onpattro openings? The company HAD to know that they would be merging the two Rare Disease units. Why not give the CURRENT reps a valid chance? Does anyone really want to carry two shit ultra rare drugs and have over ten call points?

Both products are great in terms of efficacy/safety. I think calling them shit drugs is a farce. Rare disease is not for the weak minded. Patient finding will always be the main pain point in this TA, hence the name RARE diseases. Truthfully, you need to enjoy the bottom line of helping patients with horrible rare conditions to stay in a TA like rare diseases, because these pain points will always be an issue. If you can’t handle the heat, get out of the kitchen.

The point of the original poster's comment was their opinion that the Rare Disease unit should have had an opportunity to apply for the ON expansion positions. They were discouraged from doing it or flatly not allowed to post for it. Alnylam misled the entire Rare Disease unit on IC compensation and potential patients. Yes, we all enjoy helping patients but most people do not like being misled. The company will have a high attrition rate in the Rare Disease business unit. At least, the company won't have to admit to making a mistake and can still save face. Alnylam is always about optics.

A company miss leading its salesforce ? Say it isn’t so….. there seems to be an epidemic of overpromising and underdelivering , overblown forecasts, and narcissistic executive leader ship permeating our industry.
