• Make it like cafepharma, but for different industries: over the years we’ve had suggestions for creating a site similar to cafepharma, but for different industries. Now there is a place. Most people would agree that there are ethics issues if:

-Manager lies on performance review

-Director does nothing to correct the situation

-Employee is terminated for no reason; company offers a "generous" severance pckg- a few months of out placement svc, addt'l months of insurance and and a tiny fraction of salary-- in exchange for legally binding agreement to never describe the abuse or even the severance agreement. What a joke.

Push it further. Get an employment attorney. If you have any proof of this many attnys will do it on contengency. I've heard of a few of the laid-off shire reps with what seem to be a legitimate case. Now that they are out of work...they feel comfortable coming forward and pushing their case. Go with it!!

Good luck, you are employed under at will agreement, which means that employer can terminate you at any time. If you haven't been documenting RD abuse since day 1 and have proof of this, no way you have any legal course to take. Move on and find another job, I did and couldn't be happier.

While you are employed "at will", do not make the wrong concept that a company can break laws on you.

Were you in an unfit or hostile work environment? Were you harassed?
Were you lied too or about something in which the lie affected your professional career at shire and/or demeaned your personal character?

Think about these things. Seek consultation with an employment attorney. More companies need to be held liable for their actions!

If you haven't been documenting the abuse your RD has been heaping on you, then you have no legal discourse. You will be viewed as a disgruntled employee who lost their job and is trying to ruin someone else's career.

At some point, when layers of falsehood develop, the mentality/mindset is no better than that found at the New England Compounding Center and the Jamaica Plain crime lab.

When there is trash on the floor, it must be swept. A good ZD will do this. If you don't then two or three people can destroy a region.

There are some ZD's and people in other tiers of management that are "trash on the floor". Those people will tear down a company in the blink of am eye! Shire is current proof of that.
