Two weeks notice

They are too cheap to retain you, they might try to sell you on staying bc of the pipeline and culture....seriously. Turnover may finally get RR in the hot seat....doubtful

Where's everyone going?

Anywhere but here.

Unless something has changed, my DM said the company will pay us out our 2 weeks. I'm lucky to have a really good DM that watches out for me. We are both trying to high-tail it out of this hole.

As for bonus- if you work the last day of the quarter, Ferring owes you that entire bonus. FYI- work a sign on bonus deal with your new company. Good companies still do this. I got my offer this week. HR at my new company matched what I should be getting for an average payout this past qtr. at Ferring. That way, you are covered no matter what. I wouldn't be surprised if Ferring stops paying out bonus when people leave. So many people are leaving and that will cost them a ton of money. Can you imagine some of these reps who are hitting numbers well under the crappy national average but still making bank when their numbers don't even support the cost to operate their territory? Then, if they leave and pocket a big bonus with horrible numbers. This place is such a joke!

Like you i got a signs on bonus as well. This company does not understand the money it wastes on training and retraining new people, If they were smart- pay their people what they are worth and the company makes more money.

Good luck in you new job

They will tell you that people come first at Ferring. my advice is to ask "them" how many people that have been long time supporters and loyal employees have been fired in the last three years. This company showed unprecedented growth and was filled with loads of loyalty. It was not uncommon to have multiple 8,9,10 year anniversaries at POA's. This is no longer the case. With the arrival of Brett Regans (A hated exec from Sanofi), the Orthopedic division that has carried the company with only one product has been completely gutted. You can tell the environment of a company by finding out the average tenure of its field force. The avg in Ortho has gone from 6 years to 2. There are ZERO PRODUCTS IN THE PIPELINE. Across the board GI and Uro are even worse. Senior management there has passed blame down the line and ran several great DMs and reps out of the company. Compliance has become some ridiculously unrealistic dream land. Let me give you a direct quote from our compliance.

If the Sales Representative determines at the time of the in-service event that an HCP with an unapproved specialty is in attendance, the Sales Representative is expected to politely ask the HCP to leave~ you gotta be kidding me

If you have worked in medical sales, you know this is an impossible and foolish thing to do and still expect to get business there. First this company has taken away samples, basically sending the message that their product is only for the rich and insured who can afford the medication. Now they only allow us to provide food for the people that will have direct impact on their profits. This company forces honest and ethical reps to lie and break rules in order to keep their jobs by increasing the restrictions and guidelines while not providing us with any nor ANY solutions.
Think you can do your job, stay 100% compliant, and still be successful? Are you willing to stake your career on it? Maybe you should know that almost ALL of our top sale people in the last year have been investigated by HR and compliance and either been terminated or given a warning letter and then later terminated. In most cases these employees had emails and documents pulled from as far back as SIX years!!!!!

I have been here a long time and in this industry for a lot longer, and I can tell you that this is just another small Pharma company that's trying to be like the big boys, and emulate the random firing/ fear mongering that has ran the entire Pharma industry into the ground. The only good news is that 90% of Pharma companies are the same way so when Ferring unceremoniously fires you, there will be 30 other Pharma companies that will hire you in the exact same territory doing a similar job. The sad thing is, they cast off tenured reps and they wonder why they are losing loyalty, losing morale, losing market share, losing respect,,,,, Losing in general. People wonder why this industry has such a bad name, it's because it goes through human lives like a meat grinder. Filling this country with people who have been cheated and betrayed by the company and industry.

Make no mistake Profits come first at Ferring.

It's not until they run the few good products and good employees they have into the ground that they will go out and gamble on something great.
