Two week paid shutdown vs. salary

Looking for clarification on Amgens paid two week shutdown. Information on culture, salary and 401K.

Can confirm. Similar culture to other pharmas I have worked. Ass kissing, sycophancy, know-nothing. Pay is low at Amgen but expectations are pretty low and extra 2 weeks off.

Pay,I believe, is a little low for industry standards for injectables.

Pay raises are really low—ask top
Performers of 2018 and they will verify.

Bonuses are really decent if your territory is doing well—I made some of the best bonuses I have ever made in 15 years in the industry this last year..

Paid time off is very good (what other company gives you 7/8 paid days off during the Christmas holidays?

401 K is great and additional retirement medical savings is good—if you stay long enough to reap that benefit.


Politics are very prevalent Thing at amgen..it’s who you know many times as opposed to what you know.
