Turnaround time between contacts

Hi all,

I am a recent grad with a bio degree that has just completed my first contract with inventiv.
I am very nervous and hoping for something before the year is over in regards to a new contract. Does anyone have any insight on getting a new contract with inventiv? I did really well in my contract And have been in touch with my recruiter. I know getting a new contract depends on many factors however I am looking to gather experiences from others. I am open to relocation and am also exploring other options with other companies.

Thanks for the help!

Dream on! Quite a few older reps from Endo keep interviewing & get nothing.
If you are young then you will probably get one faster than you deserve.
There are reps out there who have gone 5 to 11 months without landing
The next contract. Doing an outstanding job with Ventiv does not give
You any advantage over the Joe off the street. You compete for the few jobs!
So wrong!

New contract coming up with GSK. Don't know the products. The Mallinckrodt contract wants pain experience and if you aren't in at this point, forget it. Talk to your local recruiter and sell yourself to her/him. Lot of laid off people out there.

To OP. this is Contract! you are not an Employee of inVentiv. It's we'll call you, don't call us.

No guarantee of you getting any call for the next contract..you can be let go Friday and start new contract Monday OR wait around few months for the call OR maybe a YEAR or NEVER.

Please don't stay here any longer than necessary.. 1 or 2 contracts and you really should be doing something else... Job security is not guaranteed anywhere else BUT here you are guaranteed to be let go sooner than later.

Inventiv has no loyalty to former employees. Regardless of performance. Recruiter could careless, at least in the West area. Try to transition into another career, as pharma is imploding.

best thing you can do is maintain your contacts with your former dm for a reference and the recruiter. also peruse whatever else is out there. your inventiv experience will get you an interview with a subsequent contract but no guarantees. it is what it is.
