I saw where there is an opening for a sales rep in this area. Does anyone know why it is open, did the previous resign or get fired? How is the DM in this area, someone you can work with or a micro-manager. What is the salary,bonuses and the culture like with Merial? Thanks for serious replies.

If you work at Merial.....a place that notoriously buys it's business and doesn't make products that win on best medicine.....no other manufacturer will ever touch you. Merial is truly the scum of the earth. They make products....then get the vets to sell them to their customers....and then they take them OTC and under cut the vets. Then they buy vets big screen tv's; spiff their staff to change scripts at the front counter; and force vets to discount their services to use their products. As for working at Merial - every DM there is a micro manager / they put a GPS on your car to track you / and expect that you enter a call into your laptop every half hour. Only absolute losers work at Merial.

Wrong. I would leave the industry before working for Merial. As for having best looking women in the industry - you make my points for me. Good looking women are dunces (no problem, Merial doesn't win on science anyway).....good looking women need to be baby sat (reason why GPS is on car & why calls must be entered on a timely fashion).....and finally, good looking women have poor ethics (which is why they never question the fact that Merial whore's themselves out by buying big screen TV's and pays staff to change scripts at front desk). Go back to bed now loser.

Wow! You are bitter. I am guessing you are a fat ugly women, or a nerd who got beat up a lot as a kid. Obviously you are losing business to Merial because you keep mentioning how Merial buys the business. Who doesn't buy it?? Look at Merck, Zoetis and BI for vaccines, Novartis for Sentinel and Deramaxx and Elanco with their Napa Valley trip. Who do you work for Ceva? Oh yea, they had the Masters.
