How are we to retain market share with the launch of Trulance. This is obviously a much better product.
Jan numbers for Amitiza are way up! I'm killing it. Trulance wont have coverage and there efficacy is lower. Sell sell sell my friend.......
Trulance isn't a factor. I really believe that the nesina family was a better product than the other DPP-4 inhibitors but it was 4th to market. The insurance companies already made there decisions on which products they are going to cover. But if you are a rep for trulance, getting 10 scripts in a month might be a huge bonus at launch. For legit significance in the market their managed markets reps are going to have to get coverage. That won't be easy in a set market. So far the last 5 weeks Trulance is out selling Linzess. The doctors are going to hear good things from the Px and spread the good news around. Bonus time!
Also linzess reps basically pay off the GIs and big docs. At one point big GIs were getting multiple speaker events per month. Maybe trulance can pay more for speaker events and get a bigger piece of the pie....Trulance isn't a factor. According to the data from takeda our territory has zero truliance. Also it has only CIC indication. I doubt that product does anything. What is is 3rd to market if you don't count movantiq. I'd be worried about taking share from linzess instead of truliance.
And takeda messed that up. First to market and fell asleep at the wheel, letting linzess take the market majority smh.
No so much. When Linzess was launched, remember they gave 30 day stock bottles for the first 6 months. 7 days isn't enough to see if Trulance is effective, plus all reports I'm getting in the field is diarrhea rates are very similar to Linzess. Most Trulance patients will give up after their 7 day blister pack and feel it wasn't worth it, especially if they were told by their Dr they weren't supposed to get diarrhea and they did. Synergy changed the definition of diarrhea in their trials from how Amitiza and Linzess were measured. Amitiza will still be preferred CIC drug for patients who don't want diarrhea.I would check again next week. Are you in a major metropolitan area. Free 7 days packs are out here, like Holloween candy. Is anyone worried?
