True Novo Culture. Could it possibly Return?

When I joined this company, it seemed almost too good to be true. Most employees were happy and very proud to represent Novo Nordisk. You were treated as if you were appreciated and respected. In turn, you worked hard to continue the legacy of this great company that you wanted to make proud.

Why does Google, Apple, Facebook, etc have so many "perks" for their employees? Because happy employees are productive employees. Its a proven fact.

The turn Novo took a few years back, a turn that led down a dark road of pips and accusations, poor decisions in headcount, allowing inept people to lead the charge, nickel and dime cutbacks in every direction, was the beginning of the culture shift. Do you know how offensive it is to PROVE our family members are eligible for health benefits? I would be interested to know exactly how many dishonest discoveries were actually uncovered in that particular endeavor (i bet you could count on one hand). The action said to me that you suspect that every employee is capable of lying. Not a good sentiment to add to an already low employee morale. Just one example of course.

If our new leadership can actually see what is going on here and return us to our better days, there will be no stopping this organization. Jakob, take much of what you see on this site with a grain of salt, but absolutely consider the truth that is behind much of the recent written activity.

Google, Apple, and Facebook aren't operating in a system where the government is their #1 payer and their prices and profits are under constant attack. They offer perks because they can afford to; when/if they're profits begin to dry up, they would do the same thing as we do. It's called survival.

Too many people, layers of do nothing staff, redundant work processes, failed product launches and the list goes on. The culture has been bastardized to the point NNI is unrecognizable. Major purging is necessary along with a major rebuilding.

The changes the OP refers to all started during our run of quarter over quarter of double digits growth, so survival was NOT the issue at that time.

thnk about it this way dumbass:

How hard is it to get double digit growth when you're raising prices 12%+ % a year and the market is growing 5%

Add the two together and boom ! You've got double digit growth without any investment of sales force or marketing.

We were breathing our own exhaust.

Truth spoken right here.

Add the fact that when we were fat, we were competing against one gawd-awful drug in Bydureon, and the #1 competitor being promoted by a joke of a field force in Sanofi.

In 2017 we have ESI pushing Tanzeum and BasaGlar, and some public watchdog group sniffing around for the next Mylan-type expose' on price increases. I hope we have something cooked up better than pushing Victoza cost up 19% by 2018!!!!
