via On the pages of the calendar, it wasn’t too long ago that the thought of synthetic messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines seemed quite imaginary to students in the Biotechnology Program at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA. But a lot has changed in the world since the coronavirus pandemic began in January 2020. And in the past year alone since the first covid mRNA vaccines were deployed in the United States, it seems the medtech industry has accelerated in a way that can’t yet be fathomed in such a relatively short amount of time.
