Transparency on CEO leaving is awful!

Talk about accountability! Not one email from upper leadership on the departure of our CEO. This is just one big example of the lack of transparency the leadership team has with the employees at this company . Unbelievable that I need to read about it on cafepharma. SHAME ON YOU LEADERSHIP TEAM. U SUCK. the morale here was in the shitter amd now it will only get worse with the uncertainty of the near future! I DO believe now that layoffs are imminent. Shareholders have to be pissed!!!
 




wow! Sorry to hear things are not going well. I was part of downsizing last Dec. And i'm so glad i'm out of there now. Landed with another company that Inam very happy with. Good luck to all!

Hell he probably didn't give anyone an advanced notice. This guy is the definition of a corporate raider only he does it from the inside.
 




You would think that employees would be first to know. Complete shame,IF this is happening, that corporate would not have the decency of informing us first. Not surprising though.nothing should surprise us anymore.
 




They speak of a culture they want everyone to believe. Here's news for you....SUCKERS!

Would love to see someone just go up on stage at a national meeting and grab the mic. Talk about what once was, the fact that AZ is a cluster F. Have others aligned to similar thoughts so when "upper mgmt." or "suck ups" rush the stage to dislodge the mic from the truth teller they meet with an equal or larger repelling force, so the truth teller can continue his/ her monologue. I would pay big $ to see that.

I agree but a formal announcement hasn't been made, either PS is calling their bluff and negotiating a better deal or some type of mutual agreement for his departure. I hope he goes and maybe just maybe a better person comes in who cares, I'm sick and tired of US the ones in the trenches who go out do our jobs and when crap like this happens we get screwed.
 




There's a long proud history of keeping the employees in the dark. I didn't find out about the Zeneca merger with Astra until I heard it on the radio. I found out about the site I was on closing from someone in a different company.

If someone in a senior position tells you it's raining find a window and check...

Most of US leadership should be forced out with him.
 




Those in his inner circle will follow him to his new company and the rest will continue to spread rumors and attack anyone that is competition for the job that they desire. The rats will begin to scurry and the alpha rats will eat their young if necessary to survive.

Maybe, but he is not going anywhere. What a bunch of bitter people on here, and some say they left years ago. How sad.

You posted that link on two threads now and it literally says NOTHING. All it says is AZ won't comment and Bloomberg said he isn't leaving. Nothing official whatsoever...

In other speculation...

Let's not forget that AZ has a history of execs accepting other offers and reneging. So it's possible that has happened here.

Let's not forget that Jamie Freedman (current head of oncology) accepted a position at Novartis before AZ countered with the head of onco position.

Maybe Frenchie got a counter from the board for a boatload more money? He's all about the cash obviously so this is plausible.
 




All this leads me to two conclusions:

First, the french fuck was going to leave. The board was trying to tie his compensation to performance which he rejected, despite the fact he got a 68% raise earlier this year. Maybe we should all do the same and demand our full bonuses because like he said himself "there were market forces beyond his control." The board panicked, and caved. He called Teva and said he didn't want to move to Israel after all.

Second, he never planned to leave, and played Teva and AZ. If AZ did not call his bluff, he knows he is indispensable and will now get whatever he wants from this point forward. Hell, they will gold plate the toilet in his office if he wants.

There may be a third alternative, but these two make the most sense. He could have ended the speculation with just a few words saying he was not going anywhere. But he did not. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

"In an effort to be more transparent with our employees, we are notifying you that our piece of shit CEO who took an 68% percent pay increase while eliminating hundreds of your jobs and threatening to eliminate more is hold us hostage for even more money in his pockets. The source of the rumor is a known market manipulating boiler room operation. They wait for the perfect story to tell to manipulate valuations of companies. They usually manipulate small cap companies in such a manner.

In this instance, they shaved billions of dollars worth of market cap offf of one company and added it to another. Then in the end, when the rumor fails to be true, and they know it to be false from the start, they reverse their positions and make money on the inverse. Should not be difficult for the FBI Interpool and Scotland Yard to investigate. Starting with the pit and call activity just prior to. Perps are likely Israeli, Eastern European, Middle Eastern, Southeast Asian, etc
