Transitioning to Software Sales?

Looking around I'm seeing very few high paying opportunities left in Medical Sales and have heard stories of greener pastures in Tech. I'm interviewing for a transition from Capital Equipment to Medical Software. The software is specific to my current market in medical sales and I'd love to get the job. I'm curious if anyone out there has made a similar transition and would be willing to share any suggestions you may have?
