Training programs prior to any promotion

when will this company ever learn?

To those employers looking at anyone with a position above a sales rep:

1. If they were promoted within the walls of Mallinckrodt chances are they were a really good kiss-up and yet still had average sales.

2. There are no promotional training programs so they promote whoever they want without experience to be able to say they promote within. So a rep that was promoted to a manager -yes, they received no training and we encourage you to dive deep into their performance record. You'll be surprised by their low rankings.
 












This is so true. I bet someone from every part of the country could mimick these sentiments where someone was promoted and have no business being in that position.
Did QCR or MNK check references for possible terminations on any of the Boheringer people they hired
Here? I have had some things shared with me from their employees still there that are quite alarming about all levels hired in from there, no just about sales reps level but also some management level. Just wondering.

* Was never trained

We now know why this place is in the toilet. People like you are in management and try to rationalize why they are there. Good grief. Anyone with any good business sense would know that someone should only be promoted for achieving excellence and not for mediocracy. That's why they call it a promotion. To promote someone that only managed to be average in sales and now is managing others is a disgrace. I whole-heartedly agree with the original post. If internal candidates aspire to become managers, then they should go through a 3-6 month training program on how to manage. They should have also achieved above average results in their current job to expect any promotion. Common sense.
