The days of managers "riding" with reps is over. DSO is about competence. If everything starts at the customer, there had better be a competent person in that spot. If not, they have hired the wrong person and that needs to be corrected, not correcting the person, like the old way. Managers have way too many people for field visits and they certainly don't know the business as well as the person in the field. But if you don't make your number fairly consistently, your days are numbered. There is no longer room for the fake it till you make it people, or the people milking the system. New sheriff in town and you slackers won't last. Long overdue, you get paid for results not because you were hired.Who got let go on Fri? Next round will not be sales reps but middle management acc to BA. I’m fine with that… my boss doesn’t do much but send emails anyways. Clogs up my day. Let me sell. He just gets in the way when in the field too

That will come to an end very soon. Those AGMs who revert back to being an RBM, will be weeded out, and let go much like all the other RBMs that were let go. There is no need or room for micro managers in BA's system. He demands accountability and is not willing to pay for glorified babysitters. That is the point of DSO and middle management bureaucracy that includes field visits and reach and frequency metrics have no benefit for the customer. Those who revert back will need to find new jobs, it's just a matter of time.Someone should let some of these AGM’s know this. The incompetent ones have no idea how to be strategic and have just reverted back to all that they know: field rides and calls per day.
