Specialty pharma is the same as any pharma. It doesn't matter how many other people are at "goal" if YOU are not good you make no money.
 






The only legit answer is that you have zero self worth if you are considering a move to any Ethicon business unit.

If you really want to be in a hospital selling, you'll get much more respect working the coffee kiosk in the main lobby. Fresh cup of joe to a surgeon in the morning = gold. Thinking that you are "teaching" a surgeon how to cut/dissect tissue after your 2.5 months of "intense" training = comical.
 






Why is the territory open?

They hired 80 people in the US last year with a targeted total comp of $135k ($75 base, $10k sign on). Most of those territories were vacant and under water to start.

Then they wacked 37 people in February (plus 20 long term managers).

All people who had experience medical device sales.

Good luck...Reprocessing is still growing and eating up 30% of the market - add in cordless Sonicision and you're F'd.

Oh, and the plan to work with SterilMed is a cluster F. They've talking about it for over a year and still aren't on the same page.

Don't forget to ask about how much transition they've had in global & US Marketing - and how nobody wants to challenge anything (Sales or other) for fear of a bullseye during the next re-org.
