top 10 reasons why the CSR is the Donkey at Intuitive

Curious to see what is posted here, but here goes.

Reason #10
You entirely own your accounts when they do s#@tty and somehow just play a role in success when they buy 2nd, 3rd and 4th systems.

Reason #8

All of the other reps in the hospital know what a jackoff you must be for accepting a position with the most hated, un-ethical med tech company in the O.R. That you traded your integrity for the promise of a big income that most haven't made there in 5 years.

#7
You have weekly planning sessions with your CSM in which they lay out a plan for your week when they would be laughed out of every OR and surgeon meeting if they actually bothered to show up to those.

#6 Because after almost 5 years with ISI my new manager expects me to fill out all of my fake pre-call plans for WWSM & roll play accordingly. And yes he will check your work like a good dad should.

every CSR is told (encouraged) to share and be enthusiastic at wwsm. participate and help the region with our everyday run of the mill stories of how we changed a surgeon from blah to blah. even pharma meetings would point and call me a donkey.

#2. CSMs and up all are still drinking the kool-aid from 10yrs ago and passing down the same old ineffective and customer destroying advice/tactics leaving the Donkey CSR: 1)the only one who knows what's really going on with the current market and customers, 2) significantly underpaid, 3) having to apologize to their customers for their leadership and company, 4) under daily pressure to train any surgeon you can force into training by any means possible regardless if that surgeon is a quality surgeon or has the volume to get through the learning curve....doesn't matter. 5) spending as much time as possible looking for another job!....one with integrity, pay for hard work, and a real future that includes spending at least 1hr a day with your family.

#2.1
The company will do anything to cash in on stock. Remember when the top guys sold millions before they released quarterly earnings? They made off with more than 130 million combined. Now, after the layoffs.... um. I mean restructuring, the stock saw n upward swing of about 10-20 bucks. Well guess what? ISI is now posting jobs for the same positions they eliminated.... but here's the catch. They will be CSR roles, not Senior CSRs. Translation: get the most out of a rep without having to pay him/her. For the same % to goal a Senior will make upwards of 10 - 40K more.... for the same job. Just as long as I can get every general surgeon doing choose via Single Site... (puke). Increase of 1800 per procedure btw. Oh and they gave all of us a raise at the WWSM. Makes sense though.... cut all the dollars at the top (Senior reps), give a couple of bucks to those who remain to keep them from giving the company a big F you, and then rehire for a fraction of the cost.

Bravo.

220, 300+, 300K+, 350+
Past 4 years buddy. You don't attain that without hard work.

Of the top 50 people (according to rankings that you should have in your email).
At least 14 gone -those are just the ones I recognize.

Will not disagree about Colorado.

No matter how you slice the cash out.... Unethical.

And to your last comment... "What are you looking for?......"

Doesn't matter. The corporate culture, much like your comments.... Toxic... Kool Aid-drinker

ISI will play by the rules unril they are hurt. By legal action from some employee who was let go (highly unlikely because they only hire and promote -mainly- white males. will be hard to prove unfair treatment with that group in court.
The West seems progressive but that is about it. the NE is like an episode of Mad Men. White men from top to bottom, with the occasional female in trouble or generically promoted.
ISI does pay well in comparison to the companies it is now becoming like. JJ covidien. the average rep being hired is at near 180. Is it a great living? yes! Should you be pleased to have such a role? yes, for a while. until you realize that your abilities could earn that on the street in another role without the tremendous compromise of family and at present, integrity. SO MAN Up and quit the last ISI juice drinker says: problem is many of us just got here! average rep tenure is 18 months. who wants to look like a job hopper in this market? If I can avoid the prison search lights and make near 200 for as long as I can I will.
At ISI we delude ourselves into believing we are special. we DO know better. others that are not on board are the problem. -To upper management, the next monkey survey (donkey survey) that you put out to the sales force should be one question.

Would you recommend a friend to work for ISI? YES OR NO?
I can tell you that no one will answer honestly because the trust is not there that you are not monitoring the answers somehow. But that is the only question you should be asking right now.
