Top 10 reasons Rick R is a Blowhard

10. Loves saying "In my 20 years in this business"
9. Said Cladribine was the cleanest drug he has ever seen (in his 20 years in the business) in clinical trials. Well Rick, where is Clad? Second to FTY??
8. Autoinjector debacle. Pfizer knows more than Rick.
7. "It's not a matter of if RNF, but when RNF" OK, Rick, when is it coming?
6. He's bad luck - RNF, Aticept, Clad, autoinjector. What's next?
5. Took Rick a year to realize Teva is pronounced Teva not "Teeva" and Avonex is avonex not "ave-a-nex"
4. "work your plan and plan your work" could you be more unoriginal and less creative.
3. "Frankly, Quite frankly, Frankly speaking". You say it too much and it makes you sound like a douche.
2. You will NEVER live down how plastered you were on stage in front of all sales, marketing, medical, etc etc etc. Career mistake
1. #2 is soooo worth repeating.

What did I miss about this blowhard?

This load has been flying under the radar for too long. Love how you said you were going to give us a CLAD update on your voicemail, Ricky. You told us nothing. Thanks for your "transparency"

I'm surprised he didn't tell us all to go "fuck ourselves" on Mondays call since he deems it appropriate to say "fuck" during general sessions. Is Eric Seigel aware of Ricky's potty mouth?

How about that leadership he exhibited on Monday morning?

"Morning everyone! It's a great day. We are restructuring. But, I can't tell you anything more. Call your boss. It's a great day. Any questions?"

KAM: "Hi Rick, are people being layed-off?"

Rick: "Well, some people may be affected, but I can't say anything, so talk to your ABD."

KAM: " Hi Rick, what are the new SAM territories?

Rick: "Well, I can't say anything. So talk to your ABD."

KAM: "Hi Rick. Are we downsizing?"

Rick: "Well, I can't say that. Some people may be 'affected' more than others, so talk to your ABD."

WTF??? That was the most surreal conference call I think I've ever listened to in 15 years as a professional. Why not apologize that this is a sad day, and that although some people are losing their jobs, that it was not an easy decision, and that maybe you actually agonized over it? (Couldn't you even pretend?)

Why be so damn cheerful and never once mention downsizing. He just kept saying that people would be 'affected'? AUUURRGHHH!

Leadership? meh.

If Elmar only knew Jim Hoyes was allowing our leadership to act this way. Shame on you Jim Hoyes for not controlling your management team. Drunk, cursing and a terrible show of leadership on the conference call.

I CANNOT believe that others are getting fired for lame reasons, though RR does all of things things which must be against some type of policy and NOTHING is done to him. I CAN'T WAIT to get out of here!!!!

All you have to do is file a formal complaint and say your are offended by his vulgar language and drunkenness. They would have a lawsuit on their hands if they didn't respond to a formal complaint about that.

To reiterate - Simply call Eric Siegel and inform him that Rick Russell used the "F" word during a General Session. This is in direct non-compliance with the E-scan on Proper/Effective Corporate Communication - go into your e-scans for proper title and call Eric Siege!

Ricky "F-ing" R. Our great leader. Way to cut us off at the knees.

Once FTY eats our lunch and we are run by Pfizer, then he will be gone. Sadly so will the rest of us....
