I thought RS was a good leader and I have enjoyed working for him. I don't understand people not thinking he did a good job? Our products are just hard to sell, that's all.

Are kidding me? Hard to sell? PTX started as a cough cold company-- you want to sit there and cry about hard to sell? We sold against generics, coverage, etc every single day. That's the point this new PTX never understood. The salesforce nor PTX were ever going to be Merck bc our company culture was different. Before, The company cared/invested in the REPS because it always knew we had PASSION and the ability to always sell shitty hard to sell drugs. THATS WHY THE TOP REPS GOT PAID WELL AND BOTTOM 10% were axed. We are not MERCK and PTX WILL NEVER BE MERCK! We stocked our own pharmacies, we pushed were we needed to, and we got the job done and done well. The reason PTX existed was because of the REPS that sacrificed their lives and that of their family to help the company grow. Even though many of us STILL get paid a little over $65k-- while every new hire That is coming in gets $80-85k. (We should resign like RS and ask JJ to hire us back) You don't run a business that way and RS is getting what he deserves. Great leader of what? Giving you a pat on the butt- Monday msg? Great at feeding BS- work hard and sell and the stock will go- gone from $12 to .88? Great at talking about people behind their backs- pfff he runs his mouth all the time, just stand next to him at NSM and listen to who he rats out next? Great at making promises and unable to deliver his so called 'mail'? NO!! He was in way over his head and built a team around an idea of what would work. he refused to listen to anything people would tell him bc if it wasn't his idea, then it wasnt a good idea at all. When you put more emphasis in upper management and less on the reps. 9 out of 10 times you can bet you're going to lose that game. REPS are the engine that drive sales not the MANAGER. And your best reps should and will always make more than management because WE are the ones out sacrificing ourselves to move the needle. Then he gives us a sob story about his 50 min commute and wanting to be closer to his family- if that isnt the biggest slap in the face to the reps-- case and point! Get off the cross Buddy and eat Ya a bowl of man the fuck up. The reps that have big territories that have to wake up at 4:30 am to drive 4 hours to make it to their first office by 9 bc his/her manager has been instructed to watch what time his/her first call is. Or the rep that got stuck in an office waiting on a doctor signature at 4:30 pm and still has a 2.5 hour drive home. Or the rep that has to do 3 overnights a week to make sure he/she moves the rock and has to FaceTime with his/her child to spend time with them.... That my friends was the biggest low blow, slap and spit in the face if Ive ever seen one!! He's getting paid 300k given x amount of stock options-- suck it up butter cup. We all make sacrifices for our families.
