To disgruntled people, what brought you here???

I see so many negative posts so I have to ask, think back, when you were interviewing, when you still had the tingle of excitement at the prospect of a new job.....Maybe you had just lost your job, maybe you hated your old job, maybe you have been with Ipsen for a while and didn't like the changes over the last year or so. But what was it that led you to put pen to paper and accept this job if it is so frickin miserable????!!!! Was the job not what you expected/were led to believe??? Did the culture change so much since you took the job??? Would you do it all over again if you needed a job???

To the poster of this thread

You are obviously an outsider....Ipsen is a collected entity of 3 merged pharma companies.....there was no ipsen 14 months ago........Ipsen came when the Ipsen France bought Tercica which was made up of two other merged companies

So dont come into this board and ask dumb questions when you dont have a clue

I don't work for your company so I clearly don't know the culture or the history or how many companies merged, none of which makes any difference to the question I asked. Which is why I'm asking.... and yet no one has answered my question, which I meant very sincerely. Why did you come here and why are you so unhappy now? Simple question.

You're both wrong.

Tercica was an independent publicly-held company (TRCA Nasdaq) that launched Increlex.

Ipsen SA (hq in Paris) licensed Increlex from Tercica and launched it in the EU about a year later. Tercica licensed Somatuline Depot from Ipsen and launched it in the US market shortly thereafter.

Ipsen then bought Tercica for $9 a share and at the same time bought Vernalis (who had a talent-less neurology salesforce) for a used '94 Chevy in order to launch its forthcoming Botox copy Dysport.

Tercica was going downhill long-before Ipsen bought it, though. The original SVP of Commercial and VP of Sales were great to work for and would have been successful, if they would have stayed.

But they both left for another startup and RK and GT took over and turned a promising enterprise into a culture of mistrust, needless firings/PIPs and poor sales.

To the last poster....we are the same you just have more meaningless information than I did...still the same

Reason we came here - NEW UPSTART - Called Ipsen

So far a disaster

This company obviously has been a sinking ship since GT took over. The burning question is, why is he still here? Is all above him so entrusted to him and blinded to see he is the issue. Is France so clueless on this one? Why don't they let him go? He is only a VP of Sales, that's it. He is rude, obnoxious, dishonest and fake.

So far a disaster

IPSEN was an upstart 50 years ago when it was created.

Tercica was an upstart when IGF1 was acquired from Genentech by Dr. Clark.

Ipsen was not an upstart. Ipsen is a European Company who wanted a US presence - bought two dogs and we have been barking ever since...........................especially the neuro side................

Why Tercica - promise of two extended labels and combo, stock options and a drug launch with a promise of an extended label for NET - all gone with the exception of NET and Combo (maybe) - now a cancer issue with gh - who knows....................who will want combo if ever developed..............................

the really astute people left the beginning of the year.................others who are at the top are leaving while numbers look good on paper...................................................................

is your question answered now...................

"talent-less neurology salesforce"?????

Let me guess, you work in Brisbane!!!!

ANY neuro CSS will tell you, its been ALL downhill since Morristown closed.
Good luck finding another group of hard working, mature, and extremely loyal reps to sell Dysport!

Hard working, mature and extremely loyal, maybe. But talented? Not so much.

The rbd's here are Dm's....a member of upper mgmt called them out as DM's....Directors manage DM's DM's manager reps

If you took the resumes' of these rbd's and opened them up, it has no more track record than a road warrior DM.....they are about to have a tough go of it! and when GT is gone....better be ready to be gone!

Most of the disgruntled were forced to work for Ipsen. There is no defending an organization that is so out of touch with reality that 15% of the sales force makes goal on a quarterly basis. That is GT way of cutting costs, make forecasts so outrageous that only 10% of the force gets paid any money.
The neurology sales force wasn't the most talented, but they were all giving 110% for Vernalis and committed to making the company successful. Not so much for Ipsen, who show every time they get the chance that they could care less about the people that work for them. Especially women and minorities.

And the new RBD in the South is a minority female. Way to go GT, your days of looking "Politically Correct" are over. Must have pained you to hire her, she obviously didn't do her homework otherwise she would know what a bigot you truly are. We all know at the fake NSM coming up, how you alienate "certain" folks on purpose. A true walking disaster. No one respects you, absolutely no one.

GT was told by HR that he HAD to hire a female minority. Has anyone EVER noticed how all of his "travel" coincides with Church Events? Why make everyone travel to
SLC when %80 of the people come from corporate?? I'm just saying... Someone should look at his expense reports.
