To the "know alls" who put this deal together-----How is TN and Carisome going to survive w/o the rest of the company? Year after year this franchise has been losing money and hide behind the skirts of the money makers. Those days are now over. Good luck.

Agree, AP has been the money maker. Thats why your stock was worth the same amount for years! Paying for the investment and poor decisions.

I don't care what management says, I can see us owing hundreds of thousands of dollars for the registry and then having them pull the plug because there's no money to pay out. This isn't going to pan out well.

AP is going to end up in an over saturated market. The JAPS will not be able to beat GE and Novartis in the Lab business.

Plus the Carisomes test is a terrible waste of Biopsy tissue. We all know speciman size is getting smaller.

My Father's doctor recommended some test from Caris that required 65 Slides from his biopsy. By the time they cut all the slides and gave us a meaningless answer there was no tissue left for further examination, COME ON 65 slides.

Does anybody have any info on why so many slides.

So they can bill 65 CPT codes

The slide count is typically 55 unless the doc ordered something that required more.

Mutational Analysis takes 15
FISH takes 5
Microarray takes 10
IHCs takes 20-25

With all that cash from these tests and profits made, why did caris NOT give payraises last year. come on gary, dont make the same mistakes as last year. ap is out of the money vacumn of dh so lets keep it with the sd's and division. geez, i cant believe what they sucked out of ap.

Release said 40% growth, and yet no raise, no bonus and crap for options. Someone is getting rich and it's not us!!!!!

Yes, but what makes no sense to me is that about 3/4 of the IHC's were already run. Why repeat them? And 15 dor Mutation analysis? We originally did KRAS and BRAF at Clarient and they only use 6 slides.

then the doc sent off to Caris, really got no result and wanted to request a Few additional Fish and an EGFR and there was not issue left.

Thanks for your help...

I should clarify, the doctor had us sign a release form and Clarient (?) was the lab that ran Kras and BRAF.

I work for Labcorp as a Clinical Hospital Rep and understand a little about IHC and Flow, but all this mustaiton analysis confuses the crap out of me.

You insult the memory of my Dad who just passed from a reaction to his Chemo. How dare you make assumptions. I am not fishing I am trying to understand this test and why it took so many slides.

And no I am not looking to sue anyone. all I want is to answer my questions.

I am disgusted that you are a slaes person in this Patient Focused Field!...oh, that is right, a bird told me you only care about money.

Your father just died and you are worried about how many slides it takes to run a test. Sounds like you were a great child. maybe you should worry more about your loved ones that lost someone they cared about rather than a test that was run. Just saying. What is the question you want to know about the test that your oncologist could not answer? He or she was the one that ordered it right.

You’re a schmuck. I am a Psychiatrist, not an Oncologist. One of my sales reps directed me to these boards. I hope that all representatives that work in your industry are not as narcissistic as you sound to be. I feel bad for you and your family. Narcissism is a terrible personality disorder that usually leads to distrust and in some cases OCD.

I am going to the Oncologists during their next tumor board and questioning why they would deal with Caris representatives.

Good riddance to all of you!
