Titan Medical update

I ran into an ISRG rep in MI last week and he stated that Titan could be the first true competitor to market in a few years. He also stated the there are quit a few ISRG reps that have bought stock in Titan Medical. After hearing this I decided to do some research and came across Titans website that showed their beta system as well as some previous press releases that stated they have completed their prototypes of the pre-production surgeon console, video tower, and patient cart.

I know their stock is thinly traded, but could this be a good opportunity to get in early on this company? When is ISRG's patents up? Possible future buyout from a JNJ, Covidien, Medtronic...etc...etc?

Last, I am interested in hearing everyone's thoughts on the below items that I came across on titan's website. (www.titanmedicalinc.com)

1) Corporate investor presentation

2) Medical advisors with da Vinci experience

It will be fun to see the competition heat up between ISRG and TITXF, especially if Titan can launch a dual system that includes single port access. Below is some info that I came across regarding this.

Titan press release for single port access:

Columbia single port acess design:

The system looks good, not sure about the camera functionality. but then again, this is designed for simple procedures.

ISRG already have dual system, ever heard of Vespa single port instrumentation?

In device sales but not this market. Interested in making some $$ in the stock market. Bearish or bullish on Titan stock @ $1.77? Thanks for any feedback and direction.

BULL. I'm in, and hearing more people in the device/equipment world talking about this all the time. My guess is that it will rise on speculation alone, and if the company can get it right, sky is the limit.

I don't see it as a bad bet at all.

I do question the need for some of the applications that Intuitive is pushing, but I think this obviously something that is here to stay, and will only grow with technology.

Intuitive cannot and will not continue to be the only player... Titan is positioning themselves, and have the support to be the second player.

Buy now, and enjoy later...

November 27th corporate presentation on Titan Medical's website

I wonder how the presentation perceived at the 24th Annual Piper Jaffray Healthcare Conference to be held on November 27-28, 2012 at The New York Palace Hotel in New York City?

I hope this company can come to market with a good product There needs to be competition in this arena. I know that surgeons and hospitals are ready.
