.. for layoffs! Looks like another round is coming just in time to ruin everyone's holidays! Lots of former Allergan folks are bailing, lots of experienced AbbVie people are bailing, so in management's mind - it's time to let even more people go! Maybe they are thinking they can outsource/automate sales and R&D? Isn't there an app for that? We all know how well outsourcing IT went!

Seriously.. wtf are these people thinking? Is management so focused on their bonuses they'd destroy the company if it meant a few extra thousand dollars for them?

Not sure what to make of AbbVie. The hiring that just went on in CNS the last 6 months or so was just stupid. AD's and RD's are obviously not a part of any financial decisions, but more are like managers of a government agency: they'll let us spend, so spend whether we need it or not. It's not their money.

I dunno. I was laid off last year, turns out to be the best thing to happen to me. It was a win all around. I ended up getting a job making more money and with a team that not only understands what I do, they appreciate it. (win for me) I now do for them what I did for AbbVie, and that is something they desperately needed. (win for them) AbbVie saved a few bucks by replacing me with a couple of younger, less experienced people who have no sense of loyalty (they keep quitting after a few months.) But, the bucks were saved. (win for AbbVie)

Getting laid off after a couple of decades of service knocked me out of my complacency. I now see what a soul-sucking company it is and there are places out there that treat their people better and more professionally, where work/life balance isn't just a phrase and a checkbox to mark.

YMMV of course.

there are always surprises...people think they are safe because of seniority, but I have seen people with top sales rankings and seniority get laid off. Perfect timing for companies...2 mos of Warn act...then not in budget next year..but yet stay focused! What speaker programs do you have scheduled? How are you going to close Q4 STRONG?! FIRE UP to finish the year strong!

Bloodbath in womens health, 100-200, RDs, Mgrs, reps, AEs. Getting ready for the call next week. Companies love this time of year for downsizing for 2022 budget. Not filling vacancies is always the first sign. People chose to make the red flags yellow. Thanks for the heads up as we could of applied for other jobs in the company, but the mgt says all if good! So it must be!

I call BS!

Well the call that WAS scheduled for 10/29 has now been pushed off to 12/10 or something like that. So, so much for the 60 day warn clause. Not that I thought they would do it and let alone on the year end finance call where they don’t even report WH.

Definite layoff coming; how many are going to go? Nobody knows, probably same amount as the merger and then another territory realignment. Writings been on the wall for a LONG time.

Much like the promise you made to your spouse on how good you are in bed... this is complete BS too.
