tired of corporate

sure wish corporate would get the clue, those that have our president/CEO's new wife in their region are unhappy because, she gets all these preveliges, last we checked at 5 years of employment you get 10 vacation days, not all the time you want, oh yeah you're the president's wife, something is just wrong with that picture. Those in the west are tired of their regional manager and the endless emails about nothing and ridiculous cheerleading that she thinks is motiviating, those in the North Central are also tired of the special attention the manager gives to one his folks, the list goes on and on, and yet we still don't have a compensation plan, they are too busy with their personal lives that do cross over to their business lives to care! If you're looking to gain employment with Butler, think otherwise, the merger between HS and Butler benefited only HS and certainly not Butler.

Ain't that the truth. I know which docs want entertainment and eye and when they want to do business.
who you know might get your foot in the door, but vets know shine from substsnce.

Oh yeah ! Step One, look pretty and sound nice. Step Two, know your ass from your elbow, because if step one is all you've got,,you'll be toast before long. Vets have pretty good BS detector.

Depends on the vet. So now we're not only supporting high salary management but we've also supported the purchase of yet another a.h. company in Europe. Won't be long before we have to push their products like the joint product from HS Australia.

We make the dough; they spend it. At least they've lowered the gates so we can price match anybody.

Yeah, it's wonderful trying to be the walmart of ah. Price matching is great, except that unless it results in a hugely increased volume, I don't see any more of the pie in my wallet.

Incremental sales can lead to more down the road.

Of course , I realize that. If it gains sales that we weren't getting before the match, then woo hoo, we all win. However, if it just becomes a race to the bottom serving clinics that don't intend to or can't grow their volume with us, then it's just destructive.

Many times, once you can get the item sold and into their history, you do get repeat sales. But there are enough price shoppers with no repeat or loyalty and that's just become another barnacle on the hull. Don't need my boat slowed down anymore than it already is.

Agreed unless you have a useless manager who tells you're not meeting projection and can't offer anything substantial to help you, then you have to try to get every order that you can. Because in the end, someone will always have a better deal than we do. We can only do so many lunches, ask so many time for the business, steer clinics to a Team Harmony meeting (for which we pick up the expenses), attend every vendor dinner meeting and it would make very little difference. And in the end, what IS the value of our time?

To who ? My time is definitely worth something to me. A lot actually. However, the only thing HS compensates for is sales, sales, sales !!! . HS could really give a shit how much time we have to put into it. You know the drill, calls, emails, commuting time, etc etc. It's just getting harder these days. Managers don't really have anything new to offer. They have no choice but to push most of the bullshit being pushed onto them. Some of them come up with some good ideas sometimes..but unless the customer is interested and actually buying, what good does it all do ?

Projections come from the very top, where no one is in touch with reality.
