Time to shut it down people

This is going to be a 3 week process for layoffs. 1st week is the realignment of RD's, 2nd week will be DM's and the 3rd week will be reps. Don't bother trying to save your job, the decisions have been made (a while ago) of who will stay and who will go. DSI is only trying to control their losses by keeping the sales reps under the microscope with activity and trainings that some will not use.
If you make it past the 1st round, good, however there will be more to come. Take a look at the new trial that Olmesartan loss in a head to head.....prepare yourself people, because our company has not with the disappointing pipeline that we have.

Why all the time delay? "Consulting" with other pharma companies, its announcement on a Monday, phone calls on Thursday, done. Move on and work. In the end, our opinions will not matter. Big Billy and Johnny have decided to streeeeeeeetch it out. I love this company!

Can we discuss the rd's that were let go? Why ken ring? Is this indicative of divisions that they will be laying off (I.e. pc2 midwest?) Just speculation, just a thought, just a question?

If you are so unhappy with DSI why don't you leave and let the rest of us who love our jobs and company have your spot. It will be a shame to see good, hardworking reps get laid off when ingrates like you keep their jobs.

Who was let go in Mid-Atlantic as far as RD's? I can't imagine that PW hasn't slept with enough people not to have kept her job but then JK would either have to get rid of his brother-in-law or the golden boy, TS (bow and kiss the ring please). Please! Do tell!

By using the term "ingrates", you imply that we should be "grateful". What should we be grateful for? It's not like DSI came along and lifted me from the depths of despair out of its kindness and desire to spread goodness. I'm paid by DSI to do a job--a job I do very well and, I think, better than anyone else they would pay the same amount. Perhaps you feel grateful, because you feel that, while accepting the pay from DSI, you're really not worth it. I guess I'd have the same perspective as you if I knew I didn't give 110% every day. Gratitude has nothing to do with it; DSI leadership has handled this poorly and I would expect better. Should I survive this first cut (and I suspect I will), then I may be looking anyway. But that is my choice. I'll leave the notions of gratitude to the likes of you.

The layoffs are awful, and it stinks that someone like Ken Ring is displaced, while inept leadership like JM remains. But like most layoffs, the decisions are not made with the individuals in mind. They are made by an independent third party, and the results are approved by the executive committee.

By the way, the RD's that are displaced are given the opportunity to post for other openings within the company that they may be interested in. They are not summarily terminated. Not that that makes it any better, but hopefully KR lands on his feet somewhere.
