I can’t believe we don’t have the time off between Christmas and New Years!! JNJ is the ONLY large pharma company that doesn’t give this time off. Other pharma companies also have shutdown the week of July 4th. Cheap! I wish I knew this before I accepted this position! They entice you with a pension that you have to work 5 years at before you are vested. No thank you, I’ll get a better paying job elsewhere! Too much micromanagement too!

Dont like it - go work in the EU. Government mandated. Eu gets 6 weeks paid vacation with an option to buy a seventh (for new employees). Over a 20 year career, EU employees get over 60 more weeks of paid vacation than the same level in the US. That is over a years of vacation! J&J will give you the minimum they need to give you. Tell me all about balance of life for US based employees.....
