If you have any HR issues, you will be dealing with a former Executive Counsel (company lawyer) who has never done HR.

Thoughts? Opinions? I think this is a huge conflict.

In post 57 of the st thread, st told us:

"Karen Brophy was hired as Ranieri's effective replacement as head of HR. Ranieri wanted to stay in Seattle. Karen works in Bridgewater, NJ. Karen is a nice and competent person. The mentally ill serial liar creates and rehashes idiotic anti-Dendreon conspiracy theories on a daily basis."

She is still here. Why was he even brought in?

Know him well - GM is a logical thinker, open to new ideas, respectful of others, comfortable making a tough decision, driven by a desire to "make a breakthrough in biotech" being part of a successful team. You are lucky to have him - wish I was there.
