This is what happens when an MD has two nervous breakdowns, marries the daughter of the chairman of the board of Sandoz, moves to the U.S. and carries the bag as a rep for a few months, is then moved inside to become a product manager and a few other management positions, none of which he was truly qualified for. He then goes to a two month training program at Harvard for high potential middle managers, moves back to Switzerland and gets a top level executive position and then becomes CEO AND Chairman of the Board of the newly organized Novartis. All this within the span of just a few years. The Peter Principle rules supreme here and he has risen to the level of his incompetence. It is the rest of us who are left in the dust scrambling for any job that comes along.
