So many of the threads here seem to be based on the belief that they care about you. Or that what is fair for you is good for the company.

They don't. The sooner your realize that your years of service or hard work don't matter, the sooner you'll regain your sanity. You are a number that is all. Anything nice they do is calculated to be good for business that is all. You'll no early in your career if you can progress or not. If you can progress, milk it for all it is worth and cash out. If not do you job collect your check and stop thinking working harder will change things.

Fair to you and fair to stock holders are mutually exclusive these days. Bottom line you are an asset with a dollar value, rightfully so once your pay exceeds your value you are done. In the current Wall Street driven busy climate THAT is the definition of fair.

They use you. Use them back and expect no loyalty. Once you lower your expectations, your anger will subside and food will taste better, family will be happier and stress will go away.

Very true. I have lived through this and Novartis is all talk and no action. They say they care and will help but that's as far as it goes. Very sad place to be.

You are correct. My expectations are low and every day I am still collecting a paycheck it just makes my life easier.I know the job will end soon. When it is over I will move on.Maybe a better position maybe worse.I will always survive. You can drop me in any town with no money in my pocket and I will always have shelter and food. They can take my job from me but I still have street smarts, common sense and a good education.
