They are no longer giving merit increases





















Nah, it is 2% and it is still in effect. They just decided not to have a formal communication about it - probably embarrassed to give justification when you compare it to upper managements stock options and grants. Raise will be effective April 1st for people crossing over the bridge.
 




Embarrassed? I find it hard to believe, given the past, that upper management knows how to be embarrassed by their actions. It's OK though....I am embarrassed for therm.

Blah Blah Blah - same post over and over on multiple threads. Please go away. Sales force still makes a huge difference. Onglyza is just the first entry into our diabetes franchise which has a bright future. Plavix has competition so it needs a sales force to protect our business until May, 2012. If you are in the sales force (God forbid) quit.

22 hours of work( max)/rep/week =$80K-$90k/year in salary... give me a break !!! Our customers do not make that much money .. and if they do, they -at least- are working hard for it. And I am in sales..and we will be froced to leave in April.. mark my word.

what our customers make. Cardiologists make 500k a year. Internists make 200-250k, primary care makes 150k
 




totally overpaid. try working in the DME sales end of things. half the base and commish, and usually no cars, just allowance and they actually walk out the door with a PO #, cc# or a check for their sales efforts, you walk out with a fluffed "sure I write your drug for the next 5 patients. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. OVERPAID you are folks . heck, UPS drivers do what reps do, and they get paid half of what reps get. oops, i forgot, maybe their uniforms cost a little, but anyway.......
 












Outsource the BLOATED sales staff!

BMS is not a stupid as you apparently are. They know what level of work you get out of CSO reps. Might be fine for selling older drugs that are well established and for which they don't do dinner programs frequently, nor have to actually use some selling skills to advance your brand.

The only difference between you and the CSO's is that they lived in the wrong geography when the downsizing occurred! Don't be an ignorant,uninformed asshole all your life!Geography is the #1 criteria looked at when downsizing happens at EVERY company. Hell,multiple sales award winners are being downsized all the time.When BMS downsizes soon,you better live in the right area or you might become a CSO !!!!Ignorant,pompous asshole!!!!!
