I knew I was working hard and working smart. It didn't matter, I didn't measure up to the quota. What? What quota? The one saying we had to have 20 by 7/18....the one that was used arbitrarily and at the last minute.
But wait....I have 19! Doesn't matter, said corporate. But wait, I have many Rxs still out there that have been Rx'd in the last couple of weeks, I have seen the evidence in the pharmacies! I have several docs committed to write this!
"Too little, too late." said corporate. What? I am a legacy rep who totally kicked ass with Exalgo and Pennsaid for the last 4 years. Huh? "What did you do for me last quarter?" corporate asked, and I answered = #1 in District for Pennsaid 2%, and enough Exalgo that you all said my bonus was going to be $$$$$.
We don't care.
What? I have x amount of years with this company and because I am behind the curve with this dog that no one needs or wants you are putting me on a PIP?
No, you can take the 6 weeks of severance and don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
Bye.
To those of you that took the PIP and lost the measly 6 weeks of severance? Shame on you if you get let go anyway.
I have found a fantastic job with a much better company. Life is great, I am making more than at MNK, and am not selling an expensive alternative to a generic.
Thank you, MNK. I am glad you forced me out of the golden handcuffs and on to a real job.
Seriously, thank you for that.
