The VALUE of these threads...

I've followed these threads for several years. Many during my tenure as a rep. Some now since I have retired. When I occasionally read the comments made, I see perspectives that are rarely of any value. So often there are those made that are obvious reflections of responders who are simply too immature to understand what AZ and the pharmaceutical industry is really all about. Don't get me wrong. It's a crazy money making industry. One that eventually you realize you have to sell your soul to the devil if you want to climb the ladder and/or keep your job. Who am I to pass judgement? It's augmented a wonderful retirement that I started many years ago in a couple other industries. I must say thank you. But I also have to say I read these threads and I am appalled by the comments made which reflect selfish self-serving people who have absolutely no idea what it means to work really hard...people who think they are owed something just because...this industry is so full of individuals who have never had to fear being drafted to fight in a foreign country or survive during a depression. The powers to be want those naive employees. The powers to be have never fought in a war. Never have they worried if they could feed themselves or their families. I think about that. It explains the culture of the present company; the entire pharmaceutical industry. It explains why most of the threads contain no substance other than complaints or what the poster believes the company owes them. WOW. Many of you have been so very lucky and you don't even know it. You don't know when to simply say "thank you."

Very cool. Sounds like AZ was really good to you as well.

Wow you sure have a lot of time on your hands. Only made it 1/3 way into your novel but it seems you are upset or angry about other peoples opinion. I encourage you to look in the mirror and try to figure out your anger issues before they cost you something dear.

OK, I will translate the novel for you entitled assholes.

You all suck and you have no idea what hard work or sacrifice is. This world is worse off because of all of you.

AZ pulled froze the pension and no more retirement medical benefits. So its great that they were good to you. Those days are gone. A team gets laid off every November now. Just today it was the Account Directors. So none of them will get medical or retirement even if here for 25 yrs. AZ is now a woke corporate machine. There is no reason whatsoever to think AZ cares. Its all about the numbers so Pascal can claim his valuation.

So the clarion call for all employees in this day and age is to move around to get the most you can from raises and hiring incentives. You are in a simple contract with employers; they pay you for certain and specific skills and when they don’t need you, you’re gone. No imotions and no sentiment, just thanks for your service, now leave.
