Is it going to be a tough year? Hell yes! But we are not Navartis, we are not AZ...we are DSI, a small pharma company that was doing well and grew into mid size and now we will be forsed to back to small pharma. Of coarse there will be a CEM part II or "realighnment") but it wont be much. does our pipe line suck? thats up for debate. every freakin product we come out with another company sells first? Bottom line is this: someone has to sell Benicar, Azor, Tribenzor, Welchol, Sprix, Effient!

Uh, the text/sample direct thing is happening anyway to a limited number of prescribers;the only option you have is whether or not you want the option of delivering the samples. Either way, the samples will be shipped. I would recommend you take the option to deliver the samples.

"You want the truth?? You can't handle the truth!!" (Sorry I could not resist) The truth is DSI is going to be smaller than small. It is not going to put resources into drugs like benicar azor and tribenzor. These are already decreasing and will very soon be in a free fall. Welchol isn't going to save the company. Nobody can sell a dog like Sprix and Effient is in the hands of Lilly. DSI may not be Novartis or AZ but they made all the same mistakes and now have to suffer the same fate. Cut drastically, hoard cash to buy another company or to be bought by another company. It happened to Wyeth!

the truth is that is only 3 products, welchol is a dog, effient is a dog, and olmesartan is dead this year, mgmt keeps coming on here to try an glorify the situation and this is the best they can do, good luck dsi
 






I just read a recent issue of INC magazine at a NY Dr.'s office, there is a DSI rep featured in an article from ( I thought he worked in NJ) he doesn't claim to have worked/work for DSI, but I know he did! He is in their top 50 entrepreneurs of 2010-2011 article?!?! Has anyone read the article? Double-Dipping?!

That's awesome! very funny, great movie. Anyway, So you kinda agree with me but you feel its going to be much greater cuts than our last year 10%? you know, the cuts sucked, I personally lost some good friends but DSI did not lie, it was really 10% which is small. look at Novartis now, they are about to lose aprox 50% of their sales force. My point is; our drugs may suck and we may not have anything in the pipeline (we do but we keep giving the meds to other companies to sell) but someone has to sell these crappy drugs so I believe its another minor layoff. hopefully I pray that Im one of the ones that stick it out and for those that dont I pray they land even better opportunities!
 






I have been with DS when there was just one rep... that made since... now 3 and a special something rep...who you never see. Start looking now!!!! Look for layoffs in Oct. 2012

10% my butt. dsi has cleaned house through PIP programs, sample miscounting, overnight stays in which alcohol showed up on the tab and the rep drove back to hotel in company car. etc etc
 












You better not say anything bad about JG. Every time that happens, the thread get erased. Someone had posted before about how insensitive he is towards other people and that he doesn't give a rat's ass about anyone, and "poof" that thread was gone. I guess JG doesn't want anyone to know that he could give to shits about anyone in the company and would do whatever he could to screw us lowly folks in the field. He has always been like that and he always will be. Oh well, that's something we just have to live with I suppose. Best of luck to all, we're going to need it.
