The Rich Get Richer

What Don did with Acthar and Questcor was nothing short of brilliant. Others could have done the same thing but they weren't intelligent enough to see it through.

That's no joke, no one did jack with that drug for 50 years until Q turned it into a billion $ drug. Really incredible. We did the selling but those guys had the strategy. Made me a ton of money, i will give them that, so i am cool with them making whatever.

Ummmm, that's called EXTREME greed by taking a drug that originally was $50 to over $30,000 and taking advantage of sick people. It's sick and disgusting. All he did was take advantage of a situation where there is no alternative. Feel proud?

Yep, 100% proud. It actually helped sick people. Waaaayyyy more patients were able to use Acthar once it was made profitable to promote and fully support it with the higher price. Did you know this? Almost no one used to use it! Also, most of us and our investors (and mgmt too of course) made pretty nice $ on our stock with the huge increase in the number of patients using it. So yes, many of us are proud as heck of what we did with this old forgotten drug.

I guess that in my life, I didn't do whatever these fuckers did. School, MBA, whatever.

Do I sleep at night? Yes.

Are the Mallinckrodt bothers spinning in their graves? Probably.

Dos anyone care? No.

there's a difference between making something profitable and seriously gouging the market. "Once it was made profitable." Give us all a break. The price increase of this drug is bith unethical and unnerving

You should move to Cuba or some other communist country where the government prevents these capitalist pigs from committing such atrocities. Otherwise, don't be a hypocrite and tolerate capitalism everywhere for all other products and industries except for this one product.

Cry me a river for the insurance companies that pay for it and many other expensive products. No patient ever pays for Acthar out of pocket.

Interesting coming from someone who sells the product and relies on the paycheck. Hey, if you think this helps the healthcare system go knock yourself out. Most of us think it's pathetic.

I agree... American Greed... Last week's article about MNK's price increases should have profiled Acthar. In case you aren't paying attention, it's over $40K now. Oh, you probably don't know because they don't tell us when they raise the price. I have to find out from my customers. At least my former employers notified us when this happened so that we could be prepared to face the hostiles. I love what we do... making a difference in very sick lives but it's time to lower the price, not raise it. I applaud the strategy and brilliance of the founders. I don't begrudge anyone what they've made or EARNED... but I can't pass the red face test anymore at $40K+ per vial.

Well said and very true

I don't know how these people can be so greedy? They'll get theirs, eventually. The worse part is that we have to face our customers and explain their decision-making while they collect piles of dough. They are trying to squeeze every nickel out of their products until they sell this company and make out like bandits. We, the sales force, will never see a penny. Most other companies at least share the wealth instead of it being concentrated in the hands of a GREEDY few.
