B+L employees always thought their future was going to be an IPO or to be bought out by a well established company like J&J or Merck. If they survived the initial job cuts they would enjoy a career at a company with good name recognition and reputation.

WP is our savior most B+L employees would say. They were glad to work hard as the end game was not going to be that bad. WP would hand off B+L in good shape to a good company with a bright and prosperous future.

What did B+L employees get. A company with no name recognition and little if any reputation. The company Valeant itself has a lot of debt. So no white knight that will pump money into Pharma, Vision Care or Surgical research. Valeant is actually bragging to the investment community that they will cut jobs in order to pay off their large debt load.

So if you survive the job cuts you can put that you worked for Valeant on your resume. A company no one knows of and in the end no one cares about.

It's worst than that. If you survive the cuts, you will be expected to do the job of 4-5 people and you will be constantly harassed and stressed-out when you can't meet their goals.
